Parenting University

Save the Date! Aledo ISD, in partnership with the Aledo PTO, will be hosting a Virtual Parenting University about Mental Wellness at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6. National Certified School Psychologist Dr. Scott Poland will be leading the opening session, then there will be the ability to join breakout sessions of your choosing the topics anxiety, suicide, vaping, drug use and screen time/technology use.

PTO Meeting!

The next general meeting of the Aledo PTO will be on Thursday, January 21, at 6:00 pm.  The agenda for this meeting, minutes from the previous meeting, and all other pertinent information will be emailed to members and posted on our website as soon as it is available.

What's PTO doing at MY school?
Vandagriff Elementary

Vandagriff PTO provided Chick-fil-a breakfast for the staff on Dec. 18th. We also stocked the teacher's lounge.

Walsh Elementary

Our December Staff Appreciation lunch from Your Personal Chef was postponed to January due to COVID.  If you sponsored a December lunch, your thank you note will be delivered with the lunch in January. As an alternative treat for the teachers and staff, we delivered cookies, cocoa, and cider before the holiday break.  Updates on additional staff appreciation opportunities in January and February will be posted on our Facebook page over the next few weeks.

Aledo Middle School

In December we stocked the teachers lounge with coffee, tea and snacks thanks to the generosity of our AMAZING AMS parents! The staff at AMS was so very appreciative and we are busy planning more surprises for the staff this spring semester, so stay tuned!

Aledo High School

AHS PTO had Chicken Express delivered lunch to the high school on January 5th. Each teacher and staff received a box lunch with a pie. We would like to thank Gordon Jones for making this happen and delivering to our wonderful teachers and staff.
