Thank You Bearcat Community!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in our online spirit gear sale. You raised over $9,000 for staff appreciation across the district! This will help us to show our staff across the district our appreciation for all their hard work and dedication to our students during this unusual year. 

Introducing Community Partners:

We are excited to partner with businesses in the Aledo community to further our support of staff and students in Aledo ISD. Application for partnership is available at our website: aledopto.org . Please note that Community Partners are not considered to have membership in Aledo PTO and therefore do not have directory access or voting rights within Aledo PTO. If you have any questions please contact: communications@aledopto.org.

November 7- Food Drive Kickoff at Bearcat Stadium! 

November 9-13- Aledo PTO Food Drive Benefitting Manna House & Center of Hope

November 13- Student Holiday

November 18- Aledo PTO Meeting 6 PM (hybrid online/in person format) location for in person to be announced later

November 23-27 - No school. Thanksgiving Break.

Stuard Elementary

We will be sending our awesome staff home with pies for Thanksgiving in November! 

Vandagriff Elementary

We did a luncheon for the staff in October and are planning a breakfast soon! 

Walsh Elementary

Thank you to everyone who donated to our October Staff Appreciation Lunch!  Over 70 brown bag lunches from Yesterday’s were delivered to our teachers and staff at Walsh!  Our next sponsorship opportunity will be for our December Staff Appreciation Lunch.  Details will be posted in early November on our Walsh Elementary PTO Facebook Page.

McAnally Intermediate

We have been keeping our staff well loved and taken care of with surprise goodies and a kickball tournament.

Aledo Middle School


For November we are planning to give each staff member a gift card to Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop to show that we are Thankful for our amazing AMS Staff! We have some staff members still needing to be adopted, so if you want to adopt one please do so and pay by November 13th. 

If you'd like to adopt a staff member for Thanksgiving, you can sign up (and leave little note that they will get with their gift card) at: pie sign up  and then go to aledopto.org and donate $24 (per staffer adopted) to the AMS Staff Appreciation fund. If you have already donated, just go to the sign up and choose your staffer and leave a note.

Angel Project 2020

Aledo Children's AdvoCats are seeking shoppers for Angel Project 2020.  Angel Project is an AdvoCats’ program that organizes Christmas gifts for qualified Aledo ISD families.  Please see their website, www.aledoadvocats.com, for more information and to sign up.
